Abstract
In the revival process of the disaster of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, it has been said that tourism to the stricken area can support the reconstruction of local residents' life. However, some local residents living in the stricken area still have prejudice to tourism and they doubt the positive effect of tourism. A negative perspective for tourism decreases when the local residents meet tourists visiting the stricken area. Those who live in Miyako-shi do not want to remove the ruins after disaster compared to the other 5 coastal cities and those who push forward with tourism to the disaster area regard the preservation of ruin very important.
