Abstract
A new method to analyze cyclodextrins by High Performance Liquid Chromatography was presented. α, β and γ-Cyclodextrins were separated and quantitatively determined under the following conditions ; column : μBONDAPAK/Carbohydrate (4 x 300 mm), solvent system : water/acetonitrile=35/65, flow rate : 1 ml/min. Using this method, we could determine the quantity of cyclodextrins of the level of 5 μg within the experimental error of 10%. This method could be applied to the determination of cyclodextrins concomitant with various oligosaccharides, such as starch hydrolyzates or "Coupling sugar" after treatment with glucoamylase and saccharase.
