Japan in an effect to reduce medical expenditure for the management of malignant diseases has begun to increase Home Care of patients, thus making it possible to manage malignancies without hospitalization. This requires an improvement in education. An increase to 6 years for the education of pharmacists shall improve an evaluation of future involvement of pharmacists’ roles in the home management of malignancies.
