With the development of the city, more and more industrial areas are moved from city centers to suburbs or even countries. Some of those old industrial architectures left behind are worth of being reserved, which is corresponded to the eco-design principles of low-cost, low-technology, low-energy and low-pollution consumption However, in China, most of these industrial areas are transformed to cultural and creative parks, which lacks of identities. This paper starts from the background and advantages of transformation, giving examples of transforming cases both in China and abroad. On the basis of differentiating the space characteristics, structural forms, materials and technologies in different locations, it proposes that we should use the green concept accordingly. Strategies and conclusions are put forward at the end of this pater. It is expected that it will provide implications for the green transformation of the existing industrial architectural heritages.
