This paper analyzes the relationship between the advanced urbanization and the inhabited environment, the infrastructure development in China's Pearl River Delta region, one of the most developed area in China, for the period 2005-2013. We divided the 9 cities in China' Pearl River Delta region into 3 classes based on urban permanent population. Then the maximum entropy method was applied in this study for ranking the advanced urbanization level, the inhabited environment level, and the infrastructure development level. We used correlation analysis and created empirical formulas to discuss the effect of the advanced urbanization on the inhabited environment and the infrastructure development. The correlation analysis results show the advanced urbanization level has a greater effect on the development of infrastructure in the Pearl River Delta region.
