Abstract
I report a case that material segregation had occurred in a chemically closed system for a kelyphite after garnet from a garnet pyroxenite, Ronda peridotite, Spain. The kelyphite consists of Opx, Sp, Pl and Cpx. Opx-Sp symplectite patches in the kelyphite increases in both size and amount towards the outer side of the kelyphite away from the relict garnet. It was found out that, although the bulk composition of kelyphite differs between the inner and outer sides, overall bulk composition nearly coincides with the precurser garnet except sodium.
