Abstract
We examined the extent of mis-indexing in antigorite (Atg) CPOs measured by automated EBSD mapping using the EBSD and TEM studies of foliated Atg schists and the comparison with the results already reported in previous studies. We conclude Atg CPO measured by EBSD depends on MAD values and sample preparation. Atg CPO calculated using Atg orientation data with MAD values < 0.7°, or XY-sample shows the reliable result. However, we note mis-indexing of a- and b-axes of Atg occurs even for low MAD.
