This study analyzed the relationship between personality characteristic and medical error of the repeater nurse from the viewpoint of age and nursing lengths of service for some acute phase hospitals.
We carried out the questionnaire survey for 1,538 nurses who worked in five general hospitals, and we got POMS to show Egogram and a feeling state at the time of duties to show a personality characteristic in, the answer of the error frequency.
As a consequence of analysis, the repeater group became the increase tendency under 30-year-old and work 10 years could compare with, and stress value such as AC (obedient sense of cooperation) of Egogram, T-A (strain) of POMS, D (dejection), and F (fatigue). In addition, the repeater group became the increase tendency over work 10 years and FC (freedom/emotionality) of Egogram. It is necessary to take the age and the measures that considered several year duties to decrease a repeater.
