Abstract
A mobile-tablet based system is devised dedicatedly for enhancing the quality of dietary habits of family members, which is distinctive in that
 (1) meal contents can be input simply through tablet terminals,
 (2) users are targeted at family members with no health problems,
 (3) the main objective is to seek higher quality of dietary life of each family member, and
 (4) the classification and composition of meal menu are determined to simplify the task of inputting meal contents.
To see what is the utility of this system as well as to what extent the data entry task is performed in real life, six families are selected for the substantiative experiment of this system. As a result, although the data entry performance differs from family to family, it can be seen for those two families, which achieve almost 100% inputting at each meal, that with the increased use of this system, (i) the operation time is shortened, and (ii) the real calorie intake of each member approaches to the targeted value.
Eventually, it can be concluded from these results that this system can contribute greatly toward raising the quality of dietary habits of family members.
