This study discusses dealer system of the Korean automobile industry in 1990s. Korean manufacturer had been kept a branch system until early 1990. It was, however, switched the branch system into the dealer system after that caused by the changes of environment, such as economic globalization, diversity of customer, and a business recession. The dealer system of Korea is little bit different to those of America and Japan companies. The differences are consignment sale, weakness of financing, and lack of business capacity comparing to the countries. Advances of information technologies after 1980s gave an influence of the old relationships such as their management systems between the manufacturer and the dealer. It, especially, gave an improvement their business efficiency. However, it also constraint the self-governing tendency of the companies.
