抄録

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the construction of corporate recycling system. Trans-border diffusion of environmental problem has become serious issue, and caused strengthen the consciousness towards environmental conservation. For the conservation, drastic change of social system from mass production, mass sale, mass consumption, mass disposition to "Recycling-based Society" is necessary.

Along with enhancement of consciousness towards environment, the number of Japanese companies that obtain the international standard ISO14001 certification for environmental management is increasing. Canon Inc. is the first Japanese company that obtained BS7750 (British Standard 7750), the predecessor of ISO14001.

This paper analyzes an advanced model of corporate recycling system as a solution of environmental problems referring with Canon's case in China as one of advanced examples of corporate attempts. Focal points of analysis are; (1) relations between corporate philosophy and environmental problems; (2) position of recycling system in corporation; (3) corporate approach to consumers; (4) merit and demerit in the globalization of recycling system.
