Abstract
Women who are suffering from diabetes mellitus often meet with difficulties through their marriage life, conception, perinatal and infant-care periods. I have interviewed four female patients with diabetes mellitus and investigated the process of their marriage life and a state of medical care in their daily life.
The results are as follows:
1) When a husband admits and understunds that his wife is suffering from diabetes mellitus, she receives medical treatment and practises daily regimen regularly without difficulties. On the other hand, if a husband is not aware of his wife's disease, she can hardly receive medical care or practise daily regimen.
2) A doctor's support to the patients affects them favorably in their receiving remedies continuously.
