Abstract
Building Cube Method (BCM), which was proposed by NAKAHASHI in recent years, is one of adaptive mesh generation methods. This has the advantages of quick and easy mesh generation around complex objects. And it is suitable to the parallel computation mechanism since a computational area is separated into many small regions, which are similar each other, of which number of grid is same. Additionally, a higher order scheme can be applied because it is a structure mesh in each cube. In this presentation, incompressible Navier-Stokes equations are solved as governing equations. The convective term is discretized by the third order upwind scheme, diffusive term by the second order central scheme. The flow around a 2D cylinder was simulated. It was confirmed that the effectivity and advantages of BCM.
