Abstract
In order to improve the reliability of correlation dimension analysis for high dimensional attractor, several estimation methods are tested using numerically obtained quasiperiodic time series and experimentally obtained cross-sectional void fraction time series. Analysis results show that a point correlation dimension method with optimized delay time reconstruction is more reliable than the widely used correlation dimension method with constant delay time reconstruction.
