JOGMECʼs approach to Well Integrity Management System（WIMS）

Abstract

In recent years, the needs for WIMS （Well Integrity Management System） have been recognized worldwide. In response to the demand from Japanese E&P companies, JOGMEC conducted a trend survey of well integrity in 2012.

We recognized the importance of WIMS, through our experience on the abandonment of an experimental well in Kashiwazaki test field （TF） during 2016-2017.

In 2018, we prepared a WIMM （Well Integrity Management Manual）for the remaining experimental wells in Kashiwazaki TF, and in parallel, the trial of WIMS software was conducted using actual field data with the cooperation of a Japanese E&P company.
