The “Education DX” policy is an initiative led by the Prime Minister’s Office, the ministries, and public-private partnerships. In its implementation, the MEXT and the METI have both differences and points of congruence. The concept of “Utilizing Educational Data” is a point of congruence. To this end, the MEXT is promoting the standardization of education data. Some local governments are collecting extensive data on children and introducing “Education Dashboards.” This raises the question of how to guarantee children's right to privacy and how to avoid the trivialization of education policy when utilizing educational data.
