Abstract
Among the reasons for the promotion of municipal merger is the operational efficiency associated with the expansion in organizational size. How did the situation surrounding information systems, which is considered to readily reflect the effects on the efficiency, change in the merged municipalities? While it is difficult to mention the effects because sufficient period of time has not elapsed since the Great Merger of the Heisei Era, the effects and problems will be discussed in terms of not only economical efficiency but also the consciousness of staff members in charge.
