Abstract
This paper argues characteristics and trend of the IT policy in China. Though Chinese government make IT to a strategic position for the development of the social economy of China, The measure and the approach of IT are not necessarily enough. Therefore, it is very important to construct the IT policy of a Chinese type.
After surveying frameworks of IT policy and analyzing its progress, characteristics. At the same time, this point out the necessity of shifting the current policy to new areas comparing with the policy model of the major counties including 1) changing from "quantitative type " to " qualitative type ", 2) Strengthening of independent technical innovation power, 3) Construction of models such as Chinese version FTA, ODA, and "Going side by side type ", 4) Drastic reform of dual policy decision system.
