思い出をベースにしたバーチャルミュージアムの提案と開発

Four major functions of a museum are collection, storing, research, and education. The one which concerns visitors the most is "education". Therefore, teaching materials for education have been developed. Visitors undergo the process of learning at a museum; seeing the exhibits, reading explanations of the exhibits, and learning. However, according to the recent research on visitors, there is more. Visitors personalize a museum itself through interest, concern, sympathy, and objection. The study shows a virtual museum that recreates what visitors have seen and experienced at a museum. Specifically, we focus on three points: 1) digitalization of the current Nagoya City Science Museum that will be renovated in March, 2011, 2) memories that Nagoya citizens and museum staff told about the museum, 3) digitalization of the science museum history. As nobody has tried to focus on memories, we can say this study is a meaningful project.
