In this paper, I considered about three important characteristics of algorithm and emphasized the instructiveness of algorithm especially from the educational viewpoint. Also, to understand the characteristics of algorithm and to be instructive for the algorithm, the meaning of algorithm must be understood and the construction of algorithm is an effective way to do so. Then, I clarified that the construction of algorithm was based on the recursive thinking and the inductive thinking, and considered about the teaching of algorithm.
