Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to propose a methodology for managing a management-consulting project on the axis of soft systems methodology (SSM). This paper provides a guideline for management consulting business and establishes a hypothesis about relevance between SSM and knowledge management. This paper starts proposing a new model for managing a consulting project. “PMDA cycle” is the core structure of the model and it explains knowledge creating activities. We would like to emphasize that PMDA cycle is more applicable to management consulting than basic SSM, and to suggest that PMDA cycle is related to knowledge management.
