Abstract
We have a SIG group of "Systems Development Methodology for Problem Solving Type Information Systems" in JASMIN. The group is interested in theorization and practices of a 4-th generation Systems Development Methodology. The methodology explores a systems approach to an information systems design. In particular, in the methodology an information system is represented in the set theoretic terms based on general systems concepts like an abstract automata or a goal seeking system, and the representation is to be implemented in extProlog (extended Prolog). Implementation constitutes a part of the methodology. This paper reports application of the methodology to a design of a class schedule (of school) generator. Each step of the methodology is illustrated.
