This paper presents the critical success factors for IT management on the base of the results of "The History of Information Systems Special SIG in JASMIN". This SIG investigated the development processes of information systems focused on core business functions in the firms, and also the changes of the role of information system departments, and then derived a number of findings and lessons from its research. This paper advances the former research and describes the direction of coming information systems, and the CSFs for IT management learned from the history.
