Abstract
This study examines production improvement activities in the automobile manufacturing plant as a process of knowledge creation, and aims to clarify the factors that enable knowledge creation in internalisation of the SECI process. For the sake of analysis, it adopts the theory of knowledge creation by Nonaka and Takeuchi to which have been added first, second and third-person viewpoints. The inclusion of these viewpoints make possible a comprehension, not possible using the past theory of knowledge creation, of action and the subjective aspects of organisational members who create knowledge.
