Abstract
After the collapse of Lehman Brothers in 2008, companies are required to rethink their business model aimed at increasing profits by becoming more competitive and efficient. Meanwhile people have begun to pay attention to sustainable businesses. Especially after the earthquake, Japanese long-established businesses have attracted attention within Japan and from abroad. However the secrets of these businesses' longevity and the mechanisms have just started to be studied. We will consider the secrets of their longevity and the mechanisms, and discuss about Japanese style management by examining some earthquake cases.
