Abstract
It is possible to learn management and entrepreneurship by participation in a business-book reading community. Group reading of business books has various advantages; for example, it could improve the effect of learning and participant satisfaction. However, a social psychology study showed that the bystander effect, which similar to the phenomenon of social loafing, increases with the number of participants. Therefore, the bystander effect must be avoided in group reading of business books. The present study attempts to provide insights on preventing the bystander effect by creating an experimental business-book reading community. It was confirmed that the bystander effect did not emerge under certain conditions.
