Extraction Method for Tacit Knowledge that Can Be Applied to Agent-based Modeling

: A Case of Academic Team-building

Abstract

The modeling process of ABM depends on investigations or observations by the author on the self. Thus, the modeling precision depends on the personal knowledge or experience of the author, which increases the cost of modeling. Moreover, reflecting the actual state of code of conduct of each agent or mechanism in the field is occasionally difficult. Thus, to extract models or tacit knowledge of agents, we considered a method in which we used a prototyping process as a tool in a dialog between the author and agent. This method supports the author and makes modeling easy and valid.
