A Data Mining Study on Local Community Service for Regional Revitalization

Abstract

Japan has over 800 cities at risk of disappearing, because its population entered into a decreasing phase from 2008. Thus, an integrated approach from national and private organizations is needed for an overcoming population decline and a vitalizing local economy.
This research had a regional economy society analysis for underscoring key points about revitalizing regional economy in Hamamatsu. Based on this approach, the next approach was a case study of a local community platform “HamaZo" by a text mining.
Local cities will be able to extract effective measures reflected the characteristics in the regions.
