Case study of cyber security management and public-private partnerships for small and medium sized enterprises in Korea

Abstract

Information security and cyber security are important issues not only in the IT sector but also in all corporate divisions. Cyber attack methods such as Ransomware, Advanced Persistent Threat, DDos Attack etc are only becoming more sophisticated. In Korea, some SMEs are infected with Ransomware, and lose customers data, pay ransom to hackers and regain part of the data but they lose confidence.
From the results of the Korean SME cyber security status survey, try to found out what kind of countermeasures of the government was effective. Activities such as the provision of cyber security emergency support for SMEs and the provision of cyber security management guidelines.
