Improving profitability in fisheries via electronic trading

"Oraho's oyster market" --- Its achievements and vision ---

Abstract

For recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake, we need to improve fishermen's incomes in the disaster areas. For the purpose, it is effective to develop an electric marketplace, in which large-scaled and flexible price formation is possible among local fishermen and wholesalers in the cities. We report achievements and vision of "Oraho's oyster market", which is to promote trades of oysters produced in Miyagi prefecture.
