Trends in the Status of Information System Procurement in Local Governments

Abstract

In local governments, guidelines on information system procurement have been formulated, starting with the case of Kochi Prefecture in 2003. In March 2018, the Japanese government formulated the "Digital Government Promotion Standard Guidelines" related to the development and management of government information systems. This study focuses on the information system procurement guidelines formulated recently in the local government, and considers the way of information system procurement in the local government.
