In this study, we will present the SNS marketing activity on the product utilizing regional resources. This activity is being practiced as a university's seminar group, in collaboration with a private company close to the university. The object for promotion is “Caraimo", which is caramel-coated sweet potatoes, produced in Miyazaki and Kagoshima. The activities include posting messages by Twitter and pictures by Instagram, on day-to-day basis by seminar members, and also, Re-tweet campaign and Instagrammable photo contest, giving presents and rewards for the participants and winners. We observe the effect in a certain level by the promotion activities on the recognition of the product and actual sales
