Abstract

The year 2020 has seen a major impact on the securities industry as the coronavirus rages around the world. Through interviews with face-to-face and online securities firms, this report confirms that while face-to-face securities have seen a decline in sales due to business restraint, online securities have seen a significant increase in new account openings due to a tailwind from the disturbances.
