The impact of flexible working on Job Satisfaction and Happiness

Abstract

The effects of flexible working style on job satisfaction and happiness were examined using the difference-in-differences method. The results show that flexible work style contributes to higher job satisfaction. On the other hand, the effect on happiness was found to be small. This can be attributed to the differences in reference groups in their respective satisfaction levels.
