The Relationship between Adult Learning Behavior and Job Change among IT Engineers

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain knowledge for promoting recurrent education and increasing the mobility of IT engineers. Based on the results of a questionnaire survey, we analyzed the relationship between the intention to relearn and job change status, and the relationship between job change status and career autonomy, work values, and social skills self-assessment for IT engineers. The results showed that there was a relationship between adult learning, job change experience, and job change aggressiveness. In addition, adult learners tended to be more active in changing jobs, hoping for a higher income and a job they wanted to do, as well as seeking to improve their skills.
