Abstract

The purpose of this study is to clarify the effect of the support community of entrepreneurial universities on the growth of startups. We use network analysis and inverse probability weighting methods to identify the causal effects of entrepreneurial support organizations and inter-entrepreneurial communities on the growth of startups. The contribution of this paper is to show that the university community of entrepreneurs has an effect on the growth of startups. The current "university-based startup ecosystem formation policy" does not incorporate the formation of entrepreneurial communities, and we propose to include the formation and development of entrepreneurial communities at universities.
