Abstract

The spread of electronic books is sluggish. Even in the library of Tokyo City University Yokohama Campus, there are still 200 types of e-books, and they could not penetrate. Therefore, using the Yokohama campus Library, we analyze the factors behind the gap between e-books and the library using DEMO. After that, we compared the TCO of e-books and paper books. As a result, On average, the TCO of paper books exceeds that of e-books.However, such as travel guidebooks, the price difference is not so wide. It is important to judge the price difference for each content.
