Abstract
Urography, cystoscopy and cytology were performed in three dogs suspected of having a tumor of the bladder neck during ultrasonography. Study results, however, demonstrated no evidence of intravesical mass or tumor but revealed an inward bulge of the normal mucosa (pseudomass) at the vesicourethral junction in all three cases. Although cystoscopy was the most reliable diagnostic method, possibly pathognomonic findings were also identified on ultrasonographic and urographic images, suggesting that cystoscopy is not always indicated for diagnosis of a bladder pseudomass.
