A case of dog treated with arti cial urethral sphincter port system for urinary incontinence after operation of ectopic ureter

Abstract

Artificial urethral sphincter port system was attached to a dog with persistent urinary incontinence after ectopic ureteral surgery. After the AUS port system was installed, urinary incontinence could be completely cured, although it was necessary to adjust the amount of saline in the cuff frequently according to rise of the urethra internal pressure by hyperplasia of the tissue around the cuff.
