We have had 3 cases of bronchial foreign bodies, which were peanut, chloramphenical tablet, and chocolate coated raisin.
These objects were easily softened and hardly seen on the x-ray picture. For that reason, we had difficulities of making diagnosis and treatment of foreign bodies without bronchoscopy.
From the results of our studies about the easily softened objects, mentioned above, and their appearences on the x-ray pictures, we suggest to perform bronchoscopy to make a definite diagnosis of such foreign bodies.
