Authors reported a case of laryngeal keratosis in a man aged 68, in whom squamous cell carcinoma of larynx was developed during 3 years after endoscopic surgical treatment.
At the same time, 6 cases of laryngeal keratosis in Kyushu University Hospital were collectively observed and in 2 cases of them, squamous cell carcinoma were discovered.
It is concluded that laryngeal keratosis has precarcinomatous character and must be treated as carcinoma by radiation therapy.
