A case of 58-year-old man with laryngeal cancer who died of hematemesis 36 days after total laryngectomy was reported.
Autopsy revealed the right-sided arch of aorta with the left subclavian artery as its last branch (Adachi-Williams-Nakagawa's N type) anb the rupture of the artery into esophagus of the arteriosclerotic aortic diverticulum of the origin of the left subclavian artery.
Only 6 cases, 5 Arteria lusoria and 1 Arteria lusoria inversa, of the hemorrhagic death caused by such a vascular anomaly have been reported in the entire literature.
