Two cases of pseudosarcoma of the esophagus have been reported. Histologically, pseudosarcomatous change could be explained as being originated simply from squamous cell carcinoma. In this aspect, its presence would not be so rare.
Care should be taken so that concomitant intraepithelial carcinoma could be thoroughly resected under direct vision through esophagotomy.
