The emission spectral analysis of the inductively coupled plasma (ICP) using the internal standard was applied to the determination of iron in sake in comparison with the conventional methods using the atomic absorption spectrometric (AA) method or colorimetric determination using PDTS. The present study aimed at to decrease the influence of alcohol and sugars contained in sake without pretreatment.
The following results were obtained.
1. ICP-internal standard method has a good accuracy and a good reproducibility.
2. It has good correlations with conventional methods.
