Acute myocardial infarction due to simultaneous occlusion of two vessels is rare, and few case reports have clearly identified the cause of the simultaneous occlusion of the two vessels in such cases. There is only one case report that discusses coronary artery spasm as the mechanism underlying simultaneous occlusion of two vessels. We herein report a case of acute myocardial infarction due to the simultaneous occlusion of two vessels caused by heparin-induced thrombocytopenia.
