Periodic Ramp-Voltage Injection to Solve Near-Zero-Crossing Ringing of a Totem-Pole Critical-Conduction-Mode Interleaved Power Factor Correction Converter

Summary: This paper explains voltage and current ringing generationmechanism in a totem-pole critical-conduction-mode (CRM) interleavedpower-factor-correction (PFC) converter. This ringing occursperiodically every time the input voltage of the converter leaves zerocrossing point. After that, this paper explains how to solve thisproblem by introducing periodic ramp-voltage injection to thecontroller of the converter. Simulation and experimental result verifythe effectiveness of the proposed method.
