By the actual data, the writer studied the quantitative relation between the heating velocity and the coal consumption when the refractorial bricks are burnd in the coal kiln. Using this result together with that of No. I. Report, the writer tried to derive the most heat economical firing condition. In consequence, I got the following conclusion, the more rapid is the heating velocity, it is the more economical. If the refractoriness of the clay used as raw material is too low to be fired at higher tmperature, it is necessary to take a pretty long soaking time.
