The superconducting YBa2Cu3Ox ceramics were producted using oxides and carbonate powders by the hot-pressing method in various atmosphere. The superconducting properties such as critical temperature (Tc) and current density (Jc) were measured, and X-ray diffraction patterns were discussed. The hot-pressed sample in oxygen-atmosphere had an orthorhombic crystal structure and exhibited a Tc of 93K. The Jc was of 115A/cm2, which was 1.5 times larger than that of ordinary sintered samples.
