An outline of the instrument to measure a metal-solution interface impedance under D. C. was given in the previous report (Part 1).
In this paper an experimental study was described on the electrochemical behavior of protective films on zinc and iron.
The results obtained are as follows:
1) The chromate film on zinc surface is very effective to delay the cathodic reaction.
2) The protective film on iron formed by some inhibitor is partially effective to delay the anodic reaction.
