The tubes of gasoline condenser on topping unit and gas oil condenser on vacuum unit are replaced frequently due to much corrosion.
Therefore, the method of life presumption of the tubes are desired.
The author studied calculation of the life presumption on condenser tubes, and could not but investigate the inclination of corrosion together in order to stady the life presumption.
The results obtained were as follows:
(1) Vapor side surface on the tubes shows chain pitting type corrosion.
(2) The corrosion velocity of vapor side surface are accelerated owing to much factor.
(3) The loss in future of tube wall be calculated by following basic relation.
